I travel fairly often, so it’s important for me to have high-quality luggage that can handle the wear and tear of being on the go. As much as I’d love to always travel lightly with a carry-on, I usually need a larger suitcase (for longer trips) that has to be checked in. That, of course, comes with its own set of risks that I’ve experienced firsthand from soaking wet to damaged luggage. In fact, my custom (and expensive) hard-shell suitcase actually cracked in transit and couldn’t be replicated. Fortunately, I replaced it with Samsonite’s Outline Pro Large Spinner, and now I don’t miss my old luggage at all. Even better, it’s 40% off right now, bringing the price down from $299.99 to $179.99.

What Is the Outline Pro Large Spinner?

The Outline Pro Large Spinner is a sleek 30×20.5-inch hard-shell suitcase in Samsonite’s Outline Pro Collection. It has a sturdy, adjustable trolley handle and 360-degree spinner wheels that roll smoothly so handling it is a breeze. The suitcase is expandable up to 1.5 inches, and the interior features one side that’s fully enclosed with zippers, and another that has a removable panel with additional pockets for storage. It’s also equipped with compression bands that help to hold your belongings in place.

The large Outline Pro is available in seven colors, two of which are 40% off: Mars Red and Translucent Blue. It’s made with a polypropylene shell and soft touchpoints (such as the handle grips). Plus, it has a built-in TSA lock. If you want to grab the entire collection, which includes a medium spinner and carry-ons, it’s good to know that the carry-on options come in both domestic and international sizes and have an integrated USB port — plus an internal battery pocket — so you can charge your devices on the go.

Why I Love the Outline Pro Large Spinner

I honestly loved the Outline Pro Spinner as soon as I unboxed it. The Translucent Blue has a pretty speckled design that elevates the look and really makes me feel like I’m going on vacation (even if I’ll be working while away). I always use a luggage protector when I travel, which doesn’t totally prevent heavy damage or scuffs on the exposed areas, but it has reduced how rough my suitcase looks once I pick it up from baggage claim. I typically travel across the country with my Outline Pro suitcase, and it’s still in good shape after multiple flights over the past year.

Even though it’s a large suitcase, I find it extremely easy to maneuver and love that the handle has multiple stopping points and is soft to the touch, which makes handling it seem effortless. I regularly use packing cubes, but even if I didn’t, the Outline Pro holds a ton. Last winter, I had to pack it with bulky, cold-weather clothing, and I was still able to close it without using the expansion feature. The zippered pockets were also a huge help for small items and gifts that relatives sent me home with after the trip. All in all, I’m beyond happy with this Samsonite suitcase and look forward to many more travels with it!
